I missed the end also, darn Fox! Anyway, I am glad that the skinny pretty girl didn't get in. I thought the big girl had a better voice and I would have been thinking that the other one made it because of her looks. So good job on that one Idol.

Yeah! Let's not pick on the super hot, skinny girls with tons of talent! They've got in rough in life!
![]() Remember everyone thought Jordan Sparks was "fat". That girl is shaped like a WOMAN and is gorgeous. I thought the model had a better voice, too. |

I know that a lot of folks really seem to like Josiah...but I personally haven't liked him since his very first audition. I did feel bad for him last night though. I just hope he doesn't try to commit suicide or anything. Seems like he was really counting on making it through so that he could move forward in his life. It doesn't seem like he has much to live for anymore...I hope he turns out OK.

I love love love American Idol and have not seen the last show yet. I do have it TIVO'd and hope to watch it tonight. I can't believe that car-boy got the boot. I liked him. I thought his voice was unique, although his last audition did suck (Stand by Me), and I thought he may have screwed himself when he dismissed the band, and earlier when the singing coach tried talking him into practicing with the band he didn't go for it.
I liked the dark haired young boy that sang John Mayer (?) and played the keyboard during one of his auditions. I am also a survivor fanatic, CSI (all 3 of them), Gray's Anatomy, and Jericho, now that it has started back up again. Thank goodness for TIVO!!! |

Did anybody else notice the reallllly young, (16 I think) dark haired youn man, boy, that sang Heaven (Bryan Adams) and the back up singer ballllling her eyes out. You know you are good when THAT happens. And dang he IS good.

![]() That Josiah kid did nothing for me. I wasn't that impressed with his singing, and I really wasn't that moved by his story. Not sure why. Usually I'm a total sucker for a hard luck tale. |

I just saw a video of a very young David Archuleta (he is the cute 16-year-old boy) on the TMZ.com website.
The website says: "Last night, 16-year-old "Idol" contestant David Archuleta said he "doubted" his talent. We're calling his bluff! This kid's been a pro for years. TMZ tracked down one of his earlier (and chubbier) performances from the"Jenny Jones" show. Jennifer Hudson eat your heart out -- the kid killed it with a version of "And I Am Telling You ..." |

Professional #2 = Carly Smithson (the irish chick who got tossed out of the comp two years ago due to visa issues.
Her former name is Carly Hennessy. She has a $2 million dollar deal with MCA and her debut album tanked a couple years ago. Either A) she's honestly trying for a second shot at stardom; or B) she has a very smart agent that thought her image/popularity needed a boost so he enrolled her in the biggest talent show in the world hoping that some sort of discussion would come up about her past record and people would go out and buy it, all while watching her rip it up on AI. Either way, it's (quite obviously, judging by the talent that is going through the doors) becoming a show of more "up and coming" talent, rather than amateur talent. And, either way, I'm probably still going to watch it as there is a lot of talent on that stage...and there's nothing else on TV in that time slot anymore ![]() |
