I can hardly believe I am saying this, but I do believe that Archuleta outdid David Cook with the first song.......I think it is the best performance he has ever done....and Elton John is not easy to do!
![]() Finally, some excitement from David A.! Fantastic! |

its something to do as I sit in a hotel room in Charlotte waiting on Linda to arrive home from Madrid....Linda is sitting in the airport in Miami...and they just cancelled her flight...so we both will have separate hotel rooms in separate cities...now THAT's boring! ![]() |

Ruh-roh! Big DC fan sees trouble ahead.
I think DA took the night. I loved DC's U2 song, his other two not so much. I have to admit that I liked all three of David A's performances. As Simon said, it seemed like David A came to win, and David C was ever so slightly off his game. I really would have like to see David C rock out as I know he can. He was slightly subdued, and IMO, he was just OK tonight. I had better go start voting now because he's gonna need all the votes he can get! I can't wait till he gets his album made and can go out touring because I'll be right there in line buying tickets! GO DAVID COOK!!! |

liked David C's first and last songs, and as I predicted David A sung only ballads with his eyes all squinty. Judges were a little over the top with all their praise, especially since Simon was on all the talk shows predicting a Cook win. Liked Michael Buffer--- that never gets old!
have texted and got through a few times for David C on the 5703# on my home phone, never able to get through on the 5701 and 5705 # on my cells. Do not know what to watch with no more Survivor, Dancing with the Stars, and American Idol? |

I know I've been in the minority here but I have been a David A fan since the get-go, and he certainly didn't let me down tonight.
![]() Don't get me wrong, I like David C also, but frankly his rock thing is getting old. All his rock songs sound alike to me. Vocally, between the two, there is no competition. David A is clearly the better singer, his voice is simply amazing. |

Well I wouldn't walk across the street to see the little squinty guy perform another ballad even if the show was free. But on the other hand I would pay to go hear David Cook sing in concert. Isn't that what the contest is about?
Boring, boring ballads... blah. Rock on David Cook! |

I love David Cook's "rock thing." He rarely let that side out because people slammed him for showing attitude. Frankly, I'd like to see it more. And I really like his voice. That's not to say I don't like David A's voice. He's got a terrific voice but he's very boring to watch...he mostly stands awkwardly on the stage. He'll get better with age and experience. I think David C will be amazing to watch in person. I do hope he wins, but in any case, both of these performers are going to be stars.
