The Boston is my husband's baby...that's Hallie. They are both great family members. Advantage to the Boston....very little hair. The pug sheds like crazy and I have pug hair all over everything
Other than that, they are very similar in temperment and size (although the pug is more 'stout', well, fat!).
Tell your hubby you NEED a dog
