Saw my new grandaughter for the 1st time!
First of all, it was the best seeing my new grand daughter for the first time! What a hunny!
Charlie had to work Friday - Monday which sucked so my sister went with me. This trip was a story in itself! I drove to LaCrosse Friday night and stayed the night with my sister. We left Sat. morning for Minneapolis. We had reservations to stay at the Marriott which is only about 10 min. from my son's house. Well we missed a turn somewhere and got lost. To make a long story short, we had to stop and ask directions 4 times! I swear they were giving us wrong directions on purpose (we had our Packer stuff on). After the 4th stop, we had no clue whatsoever where we were. All I know is that we were at North West college. the people at the window were nice enough to print us off another mapquest map. ya right! We looked at that and laughed. I then called my son and told him he needed to come and get us. We had been lost for 2 hours already! So he came and we followed him. He thinks we are nuts. (I think I was going to die if he didn't have some wine for us!) Anyway, we finally get there and see her. I think I held her for at least the first 2 hours we were there! We visited for about 4 hours and had to get to the hotel to register. It was already 8:00 p.m.. So of course, Andy guided us to the Marriott. We had some dinner and a few glasses of wine there and we were so tired just went to bed! We got up Sunday and went back over to Andy's for a while (and of course got lost, but not too bad this time). That baby, Olivia, is so good and such a content little baby. It's been a week now since I've seen her and I wonder how much she has changed. We made it home ok with just one stop. I stayed in LaCrosse Sunday night and watched the football game which was a very depressing end to my weekend. I drove back to Green Bay on Monday. Here are a few pics. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
