The cabañas are rustic, no electric, clean enough (but not spotless; it's a beachfront location after all), and there is a small outdoor communal kitchen (that we didn't use at all). We kept our food/drinks in coolers we stocked with ice.

The owner of Zafiro Cabañas is Yuri Garcia Barron and he is an extremely nice man, offering to get us things we might need when he was driving into town. The location is about 3 or 4 driveways before passing through the arches that lead into Sian Ka'an, just south of a hotel called Casa Magna.

Please tell him that Heather from Caribe Sunrise/Playa.info sent you, maybe that will help you get a good rate. And maybe not.

Kids are sick so the morning was spent in doctor's offices. Been making a huge pot of soup with everything "healthy" I could find. It's flipping cold outside with storms in the forecast for days...No sign that winter will ever end...

Glad you had some peace and quiet though. Maybe if I use one of the pics for my wallpaper and pretend I'm near the sea/sand/sun
