beaches Riu Yucatan

hiya I was going to be booking a holiday to go to the RIu Yucatan in July but someone has told me the beaches are ruined is this true and are there any pictures were I can see it me self thank you.

My parents are arriving home from the IB Quetzal right next door tomorrow. I will post pics. The beaches are not good. We were there in May and the beaches were gone already infront of the Yucatan. There is a little, but nothing like the pictures in the brochures show.

omg can't bel that is the water still clear blue and is there any were else I can look at pics.

Oh yes!! The water is gorgeous, blue and clear (on a calm day). Check out the all-inclusives section of this forum. There is a thread about the beaches at IB Quetzal being gone. There are pictures there from the Yucatan I think. You'll definitely get the idea of what the beach looks like.

We just got back on Jan 19, my pics are also in there. Not much left of the beach but it was a great resort.

Thanks for sharing. How sad is that. Those beaches at Yucatan, and Iberostars were beautiful just 1 year ago...........

These pics were taken Nov/Dec 07. Most reviewers still say they had a great time but if you want beach, then this may cause you some pause. We're going in March and very much looking fwd to it nonetheless. -15 and windchill -40 this morning
