Riu Yucatan/ Trips for my girlfriend

hiya going to be going to the Riu Yucatan in july and i wanted to show my girlfriend a good time, is there any good trips which she would like or any shopping trips which i can do. also i wanted to up grade my room how would we do this. Thanks

Hi and welcome,

answering your post is not as easy as you may have thought as you left it a bit vague- thing is there are many, many things to do in and around Playa and as we don't know what your gf likes it is hard to give advice as the list would be endless.
So maybe help us with detailing what she is into- does she like snorkeling, boattrips, cultural stuff?
As for shopping- Playa, esp. Fifth (Quinta) the main street is filled with shops of all kind- from jewlery to clothes to art. I personally wouldn't know of any "shopping trips" that come to mind..... just walk Fifth and see what happens.

As for upgrading- talk to your travel agent or ask at the front desk at the hotel when you check in.
