3 Amigos and a Monkey (Trip Report)
Let me preface this report by saying that I am an avid playa.info member (ok lurker) and have reaped the rewards of many trip reports and posts through the years.
Since I feel indebted to the playa.info community, I am posting my first trip report with one subtle caveat - This trip was to Cozumel not Playa Del Carmen. I will therefore post my first pic and await the concensus of both community and moderators to let me know if this is the right forum for said report.

OK....Thx for being patient. Lets get this Monkey on the road!
Now I'm sure you're wondering what this Monkey thing is all about, so here's the scoop. Since this was a guy's getaway I promised my 9yr old daughter I would take the webkinz of her choice with me and take lots of pictures (borrowing the idea from the recent TV ad). So here's the Monkey and my friend Tony at our Park,Sleep and Fly hotel:

We had an early flight out of Midway which went very smooth. Tony decided to travel sans a carry-on which I felt was a bit risky. He therefore packed all his stuff (including scuba gear) into one suitcase. I reminded him of the 50lb limit and he was certainly testing fate at this point. At check in he put his check-in bag on the scale and "low and behold" -------- 50.0lbs--------- on the nose! From this point forward I had all faith in the travel gods who were obviously looking out for us.

Airport in Cozumel was easily negotiated and I briefed Tony about the "red/green light" process (this was his first visit to the caribbean) and once again the travel gods looked upon us. Sure enough Tony gets the red light and I tell him to prepare for a baggage search. I think they took one look at his bag (or maybe they picked it up) and no one even stopped us!
So on to the Park Royal for a quick check-in: ![]() ![]()
