I have been trying for years to get my wife to pose beside a Bimbo truck but to no avail.

I heard we are soon getting Bimbo bread here in California. They bought out a big US bread company. You would think it will be a best seller in Southern California. Special bread for those special kind of girls.

As I told a friend of mine who was in town this week and visiting Mexico for the first time, one phrase I have banished from my vocabulary after spending a lot of time in Mexico for the past ten years is: "....but that doesn't make any sense!"

Are you suggesting that we're not allowed to good-naturedly poke fun at things in this country simply because we are not "from" here?! Obviously we like it here or we wouldn't live here, but I certainly don't subscribe to the theory that we are not allowed to joke about things we find absurd, especially when it is in as joking a manner as this thread is. Methinks you are being a bit sensitive, Chetumalkid.

How boring would I find life if I actually *did* find everything "perfect?" If you think this is bad, you should hear the way I joke about the US, which, like Mexico, I also love with my whole heart.

Safeway (here in California) has stocked Bimbo products for many years. At least the Safeways I have shopped in all have a section full of Bimbo products.
