Send a message via Skype™ to mexishaw
I think it is asking, "?Where did the employee go?" "?When will he/she return?" "Will he/she know the answer to your question?" "?Will you have the patience to hang around to wait and see?"
Gotta love our town...

Thanks for the laugh guys! We have come across this so many times here in Mexico... that it makes one want to cry however the only thing to do is smile and say thanks and then find another way to get the information you need!

Have you found that road signs and traffic lights are only a suggestion in Mexico? I haven't done much driving in PDC but in the rest of the country they seem to be optional.

Glad you've enjoyed the thread.

I started it ages ago, yet it still keeps popping up.

You'll soon find the traffic laws apply if you're driving a rental car.

Actually I've noticed the application of the law and driving ability/style varies across the country. Mexico City is faster, decisive and gladitorial. Merida is more considerate. Quintana Roo is a free for all!

It's been fun. Have you ever gone back to see what's happening there now? Is there a person manning the booth? Perhaps "Question Mark and the Mysterians" are singing 96 tears ?

Still popping up - still a free for all! Not planning on driving in Mexico upon my arrival! Collectivo's and taxis are so much more convenient when it comes to long distance traveling! Otherwise, walking is good for you!!

The Mexican company Bimbo is the world's largest baker, and owns, among other brands, Wonder Bread, Hostess Twinkies, OroWheat, Entenmenns, Sarah Lee, Mrs. Bairds, Thomas English Muffins, and Nutrella, for starters - (and I wouldn't be surprised if they owned Moon Pies, too).

Actually HOSTESS BRANDS, LLC, a company formed in 2013, owns Twinkies. They are based out of Kansas City.
Grupo Bimbo was in the running to "get" Twinkies but they became "an also ran".

Headed into D.C. today to see WTF is up with this dysfunctional government.

Right you are, Al - Hostess is not a Bimbo brand - I confused it with Holsum - but 'Twinkies' is such an iconic American 'thing' that it probably ought to be (in my mind, at least)

Upon closer reading of the Wikipedia link, it looks like Bimbo makes Twinkies in Mexico:

Quote:
Wikipedia - "Twinkies are also available in Mexican stores, made by Marinela, a subsidiary of Mexican bread company Bimbo."
That Bimbo does get around.
