Wireless access at Riviera Princess?

Does anyone know if there is wireless access at the Sunset/Riviera Princess resort , I was wondering if I should take my laptop?

There is free WIFI access in the Platinum Section. I have also read (so NOT 1st hand info) that there was WIFI in the lobby area. I think you had to purchase the access code. Do a search for WIFI at the Princess at Trip Advisor.

We will be using our lap top daily for business, so Platinum worked for us.

Here now at Sunset in Building 3 on 3rd floor with laptop, wireless working just fine. Repeaters on the tops of the building near the beach. It stopped working one day of 7 so I went to the lobby and picked up the signal again. Also, you can hard wire at the internet cafe - all internet services are FREE

so far.

Where is building 3? Is it a good location?

From the beach Riveria side building start at 5 going up as you go away from the beach ending at Building 8 at the lobby.

From the beach on the Sunset side buildings start at 4 going up as you go away from the beach ending at Building 1 at the lobby.
Examples:
Bottom floor room number 3017
2nd floor room number 3117
3rd floor rooms start with 32 example 3222 means Building 3, 2 meaning floor 2 from the lobby which is on second story, room 22.
Hope this is clear...

One other question. Are the safes(although I have heard they're not so safe) large enough to store the laptop?

My advice is to leave the laptop at home and enjoy your vacation!!!

But if you're there the same time I am, can I check my email?

Yes, the safe is big enough. I have a Dell 620 and it fit, along with many other items.

Of course you can ,
I have never had good luck with those calling card things and thought this would be an easier way to keep in touch with those poor people I have to leave at home

The safe is very large, and your standard pick your own combination. Decided not to take laptop, but now I wish I had as the internet cafe had only 3 to 4 computers working and a 30 min. limit. Each time I looked there were alot of people waiting. If you travel through Air Transat, they have 2 computers for use with a 15 min. limit , so for a quick check, or note to home, they are good. However they can only be accessed when a rep is on , so check the hours.
