I am waiting until there is a nominee.

Also, our local congresswoman, Darlene Hooley is retiring. This is a competitive district, so I will donate some to the Democratic candidate in that race.

Well good then Do you already have someone in mind whom you'd like to support? If so, do you think it would be better to try and support them now so that they have a better chance of being nominated? Just curious to know your views

On the Congressonal seat, she just announced she was not running. We do not know yet who might run in her place. I will not contribute before the primary for either race.

I can be happy supporting either candidate for the presidential nomination once we get beyond the convention. I will be happy to see who emerges as candidates to replace our congress woman and to support the Democratic candidate for that seat.

The Republican who ran against her in the last two elections was really a toxic conservative who went on the personal attack. Out here in the west there is a history of not thinking much of a man who will stoop to attacking a woman like that. He will probably be the Republican candidate again, and I would die before I would vote for him.

I have not made up my mind yet.
I leave it open until the very end.
Looks like there are currently 4 choices, we'll see who is standing at the end to choose from.

There are Republicans out here (people I know) who are saying they won't vote. They do not like McCain. Too liberal for their overly-conservative views. I don't mind him to be honest. They won't vote Democrat either is what I am hearing. Maybe people will calm down once they know exactly who is running in the end?

This is random, and moderatley corny. But I thought I'd throw it out there, just to maybe piss someone off (because it's easy to do)? I have a cd, called Rock Against Bush. This song is on there, and it says a lot how I feel about our current Pres.....
Fear is in the air thats the way they want it to be
"Don't trust friends or neighbors everyone's your enemy!"
Kidnapped children on tv fear runs through the family
They'll put a chip in your arm.
Keeping track of where you are.
with all of this technology have we come so far?
It's easy to get lost, forget who you are

Don't forget that your born free
It's better to die on your feet
than to live on your knees

People are so greedy, it's almost funny
How many ways can they ruin lives for money?
I see the choice to enjoy the truth in life
In the middle of all this deceit and strife
A nation's future stands in doubt
Peace and love are on the way out
Why can't they just let me be?
How I live is up to me
Don't forget that your born free

It's better to die on your feet
than to live on your knees

We get the message loud and clear
we refuse to live in fear!

Little thing I learned in grade school....when you are thinking of doing something and any part of that is to "piss someone off", you shouldnt do that thing.

I guess I stated it wrong- I didn't inted to piss anyone off, I just knew it might. One thing I learned a long time ago: I don't care so much what other people think, nor who I piss off. Sure, I like to keep things on a calm level, but when I feel one way, I make it know. As do most people who are adamant about a situation

When dealing with people of opposing views, tact is often a good thing to use. Sure it sounds all great to say "you dont care what anyone else thinks" and "I dont care who i piss off, I'm passionate about this" but in the end its not about who yells the loudest. Listening, understanding and meeting people halfway go a long way toward getting things done.

So yell all ya want and piss off half the people but dont be surprized when you dont get anything meaningful accomplished.

Nah, I agree with you. It is best to listen to both sides of the story. Im just bored and fiesty. Nothing personal. More often than not I try to be rational, but Im a pain in the butt too.
