My decision on the elections is made
I want the Republicans to win.
Why the hell should we clean THEIR mess up? Going for a 3 mile walk. When I get back, I would like to see some support...even if it's from Stogey ![]() ![]()

I wish I gave a crap who wins. I'm a republican but have come to the conclusion, long ago actually, that all politicians are narcissistic dips*#ts. We'll get the same crap no matter who is in there.
I really really love life and have a positive attitude....until it comes to politics.

Mari - sounds like you are having a day like mine.
Work up with a HORRIFIC case of strep throat, got a call an hour later from my building manager letting me know that ALL of my offices had been burgled last night. Not a day for me to buy a lottery ticket, for sure...

I'll tell you what I told him... We simply MUST not give up on the system, we MUST strive to improve it, on a personal level, and do everything we can to make sure the most qualified and most honest people are elected, from EITHER party. To give up on politics is to give up on the future of your country. For me personally? That is something I will NEVER do!!! |

I think especially in national office, President, Senator, etc we really don't wind up with who most of us would like to choose for these offices. We are fed a few money backed shirts to choose from and as bad as I know this sounds we do vote for what we feel are the least of two evils quite often. To be honest, I wish the Republicans had someone like Obama running. I think the guy is pretty straight although I'm am almost completely opposed to what he represents politically. Problem is, no matter how pure his motives are now he will have to play the game once elected, if that happens. We can make a ton of difference on a local level and do need to at least try nationally but the fact is we aren't given a hell of a lot of choice there. |

Yeah, my 9 lb Pomeranian goes nuts if he doesn't get to walk. I swear he'd make 6 miles if we let him. Lovely weather. Sun was actually shining and I think it was in the 60s. BTW, this was really supposed to be a not too serious thread. I think the Republicans want us to win so they could spend the next 4 years bitching about the economy. At least that's the feedback I get from my friends in my neck of the woods. I keep telling 'em they could keep the White House

Did they get off with much? That's still terrible though. I count my blessings too in spite of the @#$%& we've been through. Sis is still around (was supposed to die in August) and my brother has an apartment and they're moving on with their lives. What's to bitch about, huh? ![]() Except about Dubya!!!
