Such a great movie, I think Don Cheadle was robbed for the Best Actor Academy Award that year. I just saw it recently and was very moved. What stood out for me, other than the obvious message, was how not once did any of the characters complain about having to leave their homes and worldly possessions behind. What matters most when the chips are down is only family/friends...things are just things. Since I was in Phoenix at the time, surrounded by all of the strip malls, Targets, and Pier Ones, and feeling very sorry for myself because of all I DON'T have, it was a very timely message to (re)receive.
