They're threatening to open at the end of April but I don't see any signs of activity.
I'm waiting to see Dracula's Dinner Theatre re-open after a soft launch a couple of months ago. It's on 10th just south of Juarez. It's in a living dead zone so it may suck all their savings up and return to the grave. |

Yeah- I said to my husband the other day that they had better get busy, they only have a few days to get it together! lol
A friend of mine might be taking a job at the vampire dinner theater thing. Has anyone gone to it? I'd be willing to check it out. He said they've totally revamped the interior and it's really cool inside. |

lotus is OK i am not a big fan of their buffet food but should check out the soup since it's got some good ratings here. |

I have a Chinese friend here who says that Lotus "fills in the gaps" when she's missing home. I haven't tried it yet.
I like Dr. Taco, too. You should try Taco Paco at the Pemex station on the Federal Highway towards Tulum. Crappy location, awesome tacos. |

This seems to be a recurring theme here in Playa, lol! I asked a friend for his recommendation on a good sushi restaurant in Playa and his response was: "After you've been here for a while you realize there aren't any really good sushi restaurants in Playa... just ones that are more passable than others."
Replace "sushi" with "Indian" or "Thai" or anything special that you miss from home and that's how you end up gaining 10 lbs. in a week when you go to visit the states! LOL! Although I do have to add that Babes has kept my old Thai addiction at bay, even if it's not the same as at home. |
