Hello from Virginia

Hi!! I'm Katie and live right outside Washington DC in Alexandria, VA. I just had my first trip to PDC. I was down Feb. 5 - 12. My uncle has owned a hotel in PDC for at least 12 years (maybe longer) and I just made my first trip down last week. Now I am kicking myself for not coming down sooner. By far one of the best trips I have ever taken. Anway, I work as a nurse in DC which gives me lots of time for travelling. I'm planning another trip in April or May. If all goes well, I even want to come down for a few months next year(Feb-April 2009). This site looks like it has a lot to offer so I signed up. Maybe I will get to meet some of you on my next trip. I'm hoping to become a regular visitor to PDC!!

So tell us what hotel your uncle owns?

It's a small little budget hotel. It goes by two names - Paraiso Azul or Casa de Gopala.

Good to hear. I was afraid to post the name at first. I had a great time. The hotel was really nice. I'm hoping to get certified in scuba diving on my next trip. Plus I did not get a chance to see any of the ruins.

Please tell me more about the hotel. I just booked it for 4 nights March 5-9. I mean, literally just got off the phone with them. We're so excited. Can't wait. It's our first adults-only trip to Playa.
