Hello from Snowbound Edmonton

Hi all

Finally convinced my mainman to go on a trip with me and we are going to be in playa at the royal April 6th - but just for 7 days.

Can't wait. Hate winter - don't really know why I live in Alberta - guess its cause I was born here

Can't wait till I get down there. Have heard such fantastic things about Playa. Any advice anyone can give me about anything is appreciated.
Was a little worried about staying at the Royal and being surrounded by Snotty people but from what I've read its a great place full of people from all walks of life.. We are pretty casual people but I couldn't resist all the extra's the Royal offers. We love to meet new people, and are definatly looking forward to this. I hope that this trips gives my fella the travel bug as I have been stuck here for too long (Havn't been anywhere hot since Hawaii in 80)
If anyone else is going to be down there at the same time - would love to hear from you.

hello edmonton neighbor-- yes winter weather the pits. we"re making return trip to playa next year-- shall be our fourth trip; it all started with our daughter getting married there five years ago. were to Varadero, Cuba this past nov. for nephews wedding. but that trip does not compare to holidays in Mexico. take care have good trip.

Hola! Welcome fellow Edmontonian (was born there), made the jump to BC (way better weather)... have a great trip. The Royal looks very nice - it is really central - right on Constitutentes. You'll have lots of dining alternatives if you so wish. Enjoy!

This forum is a fantastic idea. I have already used the search function to answer some questions I had. Cant wait to get down there. My co-worker is in St Lucia right now and my daughter is going to Cancun March 13th. Oh the agony of the waiting!!!!
