Day 2
We wake up at 7:30am and head to the Hole in the Wall for our breakfast. The breakfast here is awesome. I get the bacon and eggs, Alisa the bagel sandwich. ![]() We then head to the ADO station(pronounced AD E OH) for our bus ride to Tulum. We meet Brent and Kathleen and buy our tickets $8 one way. ![]() The ride was nice. However, it stoped at xcaret, then xel-ha. We'll remember that for our ride back. We get off at the station at highway 307. We take the short walk up the road to buy our tickets to the ruins $5 each. ![]() The Tulum ruins are always breath taking even on my third visit. I love this place. ![]() This was Brent and Kathleen's first visit so it was nice taking the newbies around. ![]() ![]()

Day 2 continued El Paraiso
After leaving the ruins we head out towards El Paraiso Beach Club. We grab a cab for $3 bucks. I know its only a 1.5 mile walk but it was 88F. That's hot when your used to 20F. Not complaining............... ![]() So we order our first of 4 buckets of beer! Hey were not driving. Alisa orders chips and Salsa w/ guac. Kathleen orders a burger.![]() Brent and Kathleen just bought a condo. Here is Brent trying to close the deal. ![]() Group shot. ![]() Enjoying a lazy afternoon. The beach is a little smaller than last year from Dean. But still beautiful. This is a must visit! ![]() ![]() And of course the world famous boat. ![]() After a awesome day in Tulum we head back via colectivo. $2 each. This was much faster than the bus. We get back and make plans to have dinner at HC butcher shop. This is the last photo of the night. BTW we order the Arrechea National. It was awesome as usual. ![]() After dinner we decide to call it a night a long day of fun in the sun! Plus the peep meet is tomorrow. Last edited by GreatLakes; 02-17-2008 at 12:58 PM. |

Vic, not sure where the extra stuff in your picture links are coming from. All you need to do is click on the box to the right of "IMG Code" under each photo in photobucket, then paste that into your post. It should look like this, minus the spaces:
[ IMG]http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj33/GreatLakes/IMG_2556.jpg[ /IMG] instead of this: [ IMG]http://www.playa.info/playa-del-carmen-forum/%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj33/GreatLakes/IMG_2556.jpg%5B/IMG%5D[ /IMG] The first one will show this photo: ![]() The second one shows red Xs. You do NOT need to use the little yellow icon box if you do it that way. |

I got all the pics until the last post (day 2). I can't wait for the rest!!! Keep it coming. I'm a trip reportaholic...
![]() I have found the only cure for this particular ailment is: Step One: Pick some dates Step Two: Search out an airfare deal Step Three: Figure out who can go Step Four: Book Airfare Step Five: Start the hotel/condo search Step Six: Decide which of the available accommodations will best suit the involved parties Step Seven: Book said property Step Eight: Set up a countdown timer Step Nine: Begin researching and deciding what to do this time around Step Ten: Arrange childcare or house/petsitter Step Eleven: Start thinking about what to take Step Twelve: Pack it up and get to the airport!!! Works everytime... Edit: got pics now!!! Last edited by rackburt; 02-17-2008 at 02:05 PM. |
