Wow that looks way better then when we were there over a month ago. I am glad they are getting it fixed up. I really want to go back to one of the RIU's in Playa, I am hoping for the Palace but the Yucatan would do just fine.

Thank you so much for posting those pictures! We're supposed to get married on the beach at the RIU Palace Mexico which is right next door right?? Did you happen to see any other crazies getting married on the beach while you were there?

BeachBride, when is the big day? My wife and I will be at the RPM in April, maybe we can watch your wedding. I might even show up as the chubby guy with the bubba keg in the background of your wedding pictures

Yeah, RPM is just north...didnt see anybody getting married on the beach while I was there, but that beautiful teal water will make a gorgeous backdrop for your big day! ¡Felicitaciones!

Oh that would've been so great, we're getting married on March 21st though... we only have about 11 guests so we'll welcome anyone who wants to witness our wedding, chubby guys, speedos, and all

I mean not everyone gets to have wedding pictures with backgrounds like that right?

Thanks I have to keep remembering it's not necessarily the beach that makes it special, it's the beautiful water beyond the beach that will make getting married there special!!!

I am feeling a bit spoiled

! Not sure where we are staying, but it wont be AI. I just went AI last month 'cause I took my mom and I thought that would be better for her first time. She really enjoyed herself at Sandos Playacar.
I am really more of a hosteler/budget hotel person at heart. Plus, with the $$ I save hosteling, I can afford to return! I was also down in January and we traveled around a bit- Hostelled in Cancun, Playa, & Merida, and stayed with some friends in Tixkokob. It was wonderful. Hoping to do some more exploring this time, but probably wont go quite as far as Merida, since we only have 1 week. May check out some snorkeling/diving on Cozumel.
