Sleeting in St. Louis

Bad news: It has been sleeting and freezing rain all morning here in St. Louis, Mo. All the major highways are experiencing closures. We have another huge wave of ice coming in about an hour (12pm.cst.), and then another tonight. I have to drive the fire truck in all this &%$# for the next 20 hours, maybe more if it gets super bad.
Good news: 13 days until we leave for PDC!

I know!!! It took me FOREVER to get to work today! When we went to bed I didn't realize it was going to start so soon, so I am glad I turned on the tv to see that school had been cancelled today. I am dreading my commute home though....

Be safe! I hate driving on ice. I would rather get 12 inches of snow then 1 of ice any day!

I feel your pain BUT I have to say......better you than me!!!

It's finally starting to warm up here...some of my ice has melted....it's in the plus's again...+2 Yippee!!! I don't care...I'm back in Playa in just over one week anyway!!

Here's the current doppler image. The pink is sleet/freezing rain, and the blue is snow. This map is about a 200 mile width.
