Me permite presentarle a...

... me! Soy Jan y me esposa es Coreen... sorry, trying to practice my Spanish a bit (corrections welcome). We've been lurking on this board since our first trip to Playa (and first trip to Mexico in general) a year ago with our kids. We totally fell in love with the place in no small part due to the sense of welcoming we received from the friendly people who work and live here (or there... I guess depending on where you are when you read this).

We live in Calgary, Canada where it's a bit cooler than Playa, but we'll be there (here) soon... real soon... to warm our toes up a bit.

Welcome...by any chance did you book a condo with me? The name Coreen is a bit unusual and I have just rented to a client with that name.

Gracias, syl. We're staying at the Arco Iris just north of Constituyentes.

I just saw the photos of the place. It sure looks luxurious.

Our plan is a week of total relaxation and just taking in the sights, sounds, and flavours of Playa. After that, we're off to Valladolid for a couple of days (for which I've been trying to learn some Spanish) to get early starts on Chichen Itza and Ek Balam, then back to Playa for some more exploring, snorkelling, maybe an excursion to Coba or Tulum... whatever we can squeeze in.

Just three more days...

Wow. That was an awesome trip. And Arco Iris was even better than the photos suggested.

... Do ya think!

Welcome to the forum. It's almost as warm in here as it is in PDC! Sometimes it even gets a little fuzzy around here.
