For all the Playa Info Chefs

I bought a salmon filet yesterday, and I want to cook it for dinner.
I plan on putting it in a marinade but I don't know what temperature to cook it at or for how long.
Anyone got any idea? I would be doing it in the oven.

I would do 450 for 12 minutes. Don't overcook it-easy to do. I like my salmon medium, so it will be slightly opaque in the center

Whenever we need a quick recipe we go to thefoodnetwork website. Try this one: Glazed Salmon and Vegetable Medley - Food Network Canada

Salmon happens to be our least favourite fish but I hope you enjoy your recipe.
Good luck.

There are a variety of temps and cooking durations that can work.

I do mine at a lower temp for a longer time period - about 20 minutes at 375.

Don't ask me why or where that came from, cause I dunno, but I am sure that the 450 for 12 minutes will work just as well.

Things that go well with salmon:
Lemon
Butter
Dill
Mustard
Ginger/soy sauce

I often marinade salmon in a combination of lime juice, water and maple syrup. A little sweet with it is wonderful, when combined with the lime flavor. Before putting in it the marinade, I rub it with fresh garlic cloves and push the cloves down into the flesh.

I also bake it topped with a mango salsa - the one I buy at Costco.

I guess you could call her my sister-in-law made a filet of something not salmon once and she made a sauce for it that had tomato, onion, green pepper, garlic and coconut milk all blended together.

It was really good and apparently common in colombia.
