La Tortuga is great! Beautiful, clean, relaxing, and full of wonderful and accommodating staff. The food is great, as are the drinks. All reasonably priced and its in a great location. Of course, beach front property is ideal, but a few blocks of exercise never hurt anyone binging on Mexican food and drinks through the duration of a vacation! Being so close to 5th Ave at night is a great trade for not having the beach out the back door.

hi there. it's actually A'ndrea. Anna works in reservations at La Tortuga. no worries though.

i've heard of Magic Blue, but in the many times that i've been to Playa i couldn't tell you where it was or have never known anyone whose stayed there.

This year we are coming July 5-12. I am soooo ready!!! Last year we did the Royal and it was great but I just love all of those boutique hotels along 5th. I am really looking forward to something different.

Staying at La Tortuga next year...thanks to all the great help of Anna and Jessica!
We have a junior suite reserved, one with rooftop jacuzzi. How do I know if this is one of the "new" rooms or not? Thanks!

if it's a junior suite, then it's not a new room. i've stayed in those rooms before and they are great though.

if it's a superior junior suite, then it's a new room. we are staying in one of those for our wedding/honeymoon trip in July.

i just LOVE La Tortuga. Anna is awesome. the whole staff is great and your gonna love the pool area!!!
