How Islam views itself (political)
Since I have been a strong critic of some aspects of Islam in the past, I felt it was only fair to post this. however, I have some serious problems with what this report is saying...and I'll get to that later. Right now it's time for a cold one!

very good news
![]() Regarding the Harris quote- I think they might be twisting what Sam Harris really says/thinks. I think his point was that Islam (and other religions) encourages, tolerates, and fosters irrational, illogical, and superstitious beliefs which can more easily lead to an environment where people are more easily swayed to radicalism and violence. but I could have read him wrong

Partial results of the survey are: First column of percentages is % of born-again Christians who view the religion's impact as negative Second column of percentages is % of non-Christians who view the religion's impact as negative Religion: Islam 71% 24% Buddhism 76% 22% Scientology 81% 30% Atheism 92% 50% So, 71% of the 2.04 Billion Christians that think Islam is negative....and we're worried??? |
