Casa Marina w/ Groovy Grotto Pool???

Hi all! New here and planning our first trip to Playa Del Carmen!!! We are so excited.
Has anyone stayed at or know of Casa Marina in Playacar Phase 1? We are staying here in April and just wanted to hear some first hand reviews of the place. How is the beach? Is it a short walk? Crowded?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Also, if anyone has any suggestions on where to celebrate a 40th birthday, that would be great!

Casa Marina is gorgeous!! I checked out the web site. Playacar Phase I is an excellent location too! It will be a very nice, short walk to town (fifth Ave.). That is one very Groovy (I love that word!!) pool!

Just being in Playa will be a wonderful way to celebrate a significant birthday! I don't know what day your 40th birthday falls on, but Pinche Gringo's has fabulous food & then excellent music beginning at 8pm on Fridays. This is where I will celebrate my next birthday!!

Yes .....I do love to dance & celebrate.....especially to Chris Bollister & Shinny's music & the Nasty Bastards with Bluepicker & friends (Carl & Julie)!!

It was so wonderful meeting you & Kathleen! When do you move here? Congratulations on the final signing for your condo. If Joe & I can help with any "settling your home" stuff, just ask. We've got some experience under our belts from this last year.
