If you weigh at the end of the day, you're weighing all the food/drink you've got in your body at that point and it's not so accurate. Also, in case someone doesn't know this, scales have to be on a solid (not carpeted) surface to weigh accurately and they usually need to be reset to "0" if they're picked up and moved around at all.

Just some observations from a once (but not so much anymore) scale-obsessed human. I do prefer to evaluate more by the fit of my clothes or, if I'm feeling obsessive, the measuring tape. If I could, I'd use the Bod Pod every month.
That is when we weigh. We take certain body measurements once a month. Kathy writes hers down. I don't

Quite right SQR! I attend a weekly Weight Watcher meeting, really the only time that works for me, and it's at the end of the day. I know for a fact that my weight can fluctuate 1-2 pounds from morning till night, due to actual food consumption or different scale calibrations, etc. Still it was shocking to weigh in at the doctor's office and go "Yeah!" only to weigh in at WW later that day and go "wha???" It's a dumb fact of life! I observe the same ritual before stepping on the scale each week...go to the bathroom, strip off every piece of unnecessary clothing and jewelry, and change into the thinnest, lightest clothes I own, not an extra ounce gets recorded!

I've been known to weigh with my pajama pants on, and then to take them off and weigh again - you know, just to see how much they weigh

So, this morning I woke up with a leg cramp - not a good sign, but....

When I stepped on the scale, it revealed a 2.5 pound loss for the week and I am at 192.5 now.

Kathy got up a bit later and she dropped 3.5 pounds, down to 156.

Sunday we leave for Seattle. We'll see how well we travel without a kitchen - and we had a kitchen on our anniversary trip back in late March/ early April.

I never trust our scale...there always seems to be a gust of gravity right over top of it!

I put in a call to Sir Issac. He'll be right over with a bushel of apples to run some tests.

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to EVERYONE who's making progress with their commitments to a healthy life style and weight loss! Keep up the good work!

I weighed in this morning at 125! (I started out at 154 back in September 2007) I haven't weighed 125 since I was in my 20s. My fat index is at 26.5%, so still need to work on that.

I've been working hard to try to tone up my thighs, abs, and upper arms. It is hard work, but I'm making progress. I'm still a bit nervous about our trip to Playa next week ~ I'm afraid that I'll blow my low carb "plan" with too many cerbezas, margaritas, and tortillas!

Next Friday, I'll be having breakfast at The Hole in the Wall Deli (Eclipse Hotel perk) so won't be doing a virtual weigh in.....

Congrats everyone!!

I won't tell you what I weigh, but I'm already down 3 pounds after starting South Beach on Wed. I'm sure alot of it is water weight.

We are having a grillout here at work today. I'm a little worried!

Maybe some 'in the know' can verify this, but I do believe it's closed. I stayed down the road from there and everytime I passed by, it was closed up tight. There is a sign on the door, but it was in Spanish.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll write to Hotel Eclipse and find out what's happening.....

Great job Vanessa, don't worry about the grill out, just try to stick to whatever is being grilled without a bun. If you have to splurge just keep it a small portion
