I am so glad that I'm not the only one who hates these noises!

Loud eating drives me insane! And the kids all talking to each other in the back seat of the car! I tell them if they were quiet they could hear each other talk! They came back with thats why we do it so we don't have to listen to each other!

Makes for a long trip in the car!

My Mom has said that to my brother and I before! We always wondered if she'd really come back there!

I pull out the ipod and ask them to pick a number of a song or a band and play it! It's a game they love to play and works like a charm!

If I remember to bring the ipod!

Nope, not me. But I have a daughter and a mom that absolutely flip out when they hear a pen click, toes tap, fingers tap, gum chewing, food chewing, slurping, swallowing loudly, fingernails on chalkboard, slow talkers, people who move their toes or fingers...I'll list more when I remember.

Both are very hypersensitive to touch or any kind of auditory stimulus. Both do not like to be touched, and both complain that many sounds really unnerve them.

The funny thing is-my daughter and mom click and snap their gum REALLY loud.

...But it doesn't bother me.

I worked next to a person who talked to herself, in a way that I could not tell if she was talking to me or to herself. I finally went to my boss and told her to move me anywhere even to a closet but I was going crazy and not getting any work done. I got a new area with a bigger space far away from this coworker and life is good again.
Th other one I can not stand is people who chew on pencils, I think that is gross and disgusting. Woked with a guy who did this to a pencil and then put it back where we all used them from. We had a talk and I gave him ten pencils to chew and keep for himself but he was not to put them where we all used them from. Think I pissed him off but he quit doing it and thats all I wanted.
