Jack Johnson - have any of you guys seen his concert yet?
Tickets go on sale tomorrow for his Atlanta show and I plan to buy them. I really love his music, kind of beachy - easy going music. Just wondering if any of you have seen him yet.

I love Jack Johnson.
I haven't been fortunate enough to see him though. I am thinking his show might be a little on the boring side, if you are into the light shows/pyrotechnics kind of concert, but his music is great, so who cares? |

I've seen him a few times. He's great, but I've had problems hearing him because he is so mellow. I've seen him at 2 music festvals, which is kinda normal not to hear so good if you aren't close, cuz so many people are just standing around talking, but I also saw him at a small venue in Chicago that the same thing was happening. I don't know if people are always talking at concerts, but I didnt notice if music was loud rock, but it was hard to hear him. It was really disappointing and I wanted to hit everyone around me. I really want to see him this year in WI or IN, but I'm worried I'll be disappointed that everyone around me will ruin it for me again, can't make up my mind on getting tickets or not. He is awesome tho!

I saw him first when he was opening for Ben Harper in 2000. I almost missed him, as I had never heard of him and was just going to see Ben Harper. Man was I floored to hear him as we walked towards the stage. I've been hooked since. The Brushfire Fairytales album can relax me from almost any mood.
Definitely check out his show. If you're still curious, he released a live DVD a couple years ago that really illustrates what his shows are like. You think you like his recorded stuff...wait until you hear it live.... |
