Honeymoon Grand Flamenco Xcaret Resort Sept 03

Hi my fiancé and I are getting ready to book Grand Flamenco Xcaret Resort for our honeymoon in Sept. I was hoping I could start some dialogue with some of you that have been there. I have heard that it does not have much of a beach? Should I be concerned? Also we have been told that this is a family resort, nothing against kids but we would like an idea of what it's like. Thanks for your help.
Just to give you and idea we are in our mid thirty's and are looking forward to diving, snorkeling, checking out the Mayan ruins and maybe going into town a couple of nights to go dancing.
