Which would you choose? Palladium, El Mandarin, Riu or Copa?

Hubby just took a new job, so we're gonna take a trip! This will be our 3rd time to PDC; last year (late October) we stayed at Riu Tequila and LOVED it. This time we will be going at the end of August/early September due to his transition.

We have the following choices, all in the same price range, and are interested in feedback. Which would you stay at, and why? I've seen both Riu properties, but am not familiar with the others.

Are those that are outside of PDC (all but the Rius) any better? Better food? Better rooms? I really would prefer PDC so the Riu Tequila is currently in the running. I know the experts lurk here, so I'd love to hear your opinions! TIA!

Our choices are:

Palladium Grand
Club El Mandarin
Riu Tequila
Riu Playacar
Copacabana Beach Resort

Palladium

We first stayed at the "Palladium" last July when it was called the "Fiesta Grand Resort and Spa". It was only open for 2 weeks and had an introductory price. That did it for us! We went back this past november and then again 3 weeks ago for our third trip. It just keeps getting better! It is definitely a 5 star resort>> We were happy with the beach, the pools, the staff, the rooms and most of all the Great food! If you would like to see our pictures E mail me!!

Thanks everyone!

I think we've decided we want to be in Playacar since we enjoy going downtown. I've narrowed it down to Riu Tequila or Reef Club, and started a new poll. I'm indecisive!

Thanks again.

riu playacar

Stayed at Rui playacar for a week in May we loved it the food was good and the staff was awesome. We ventured to the Tequila when we wanted more excitement at tnight but the playacar is beautiful and it is right on the beach.
We talked to people on the bus that had stayed at the reef club and they said it was just okay it was definately cheaper but they wished they would of spent the extra $$$
