This seems like a PERFECT anniversary trip to me!! Congratulations on 30 years together. You have a beautiful wife and you seem like you're a perfect husband! I've been married 8 years and I can honestly say they are the best 8 years and they keep getting better!! I look forward to 30 years+ with my wonderful husband!

First another photo of Kathy, then our kitchen facilities.
It is really fun to make great food with whatever facilities one has at hand - adapting, adjusting and enjoying ![]() The stove top was integrated with the sink ![]() The little toaster oven did a great job of roasting fresh asparagus. We had the asparagus on the first night with some wonderful sauteed red rockfish fillets that had been marinated in tequila and margarita mix ![]() We have come to enjoy having our own kitchen, for taste reasons as well as health reasons, that we have 12 of our 16 nights of reservations on the Yucatan Peninsula in December at places where we will have kitchenettes. |

Views from our cabin
It was a very small but neat place. The owners lived down the lane, having retired there 16 years earlier from California. The cabin was builit in the 1920's and totally redone a few years ago. A entry room that served as the kitchen and sitting room, a bathroom and bedroom. It had a TV that got 5 Canadian stations out of Vancouver. We did not turn it on much, relying on our iPod and speakers and each other for entertainment. The deck had more square feet than the cabin, I think, but we enjoyed it and would stay there again. Bill, the husband of the owner couple left us some wonderful brownies. Here are some more photos of the place - the deck ![]() The bed ![]() The views ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Perfect hiking weather!! Someday, I will make it out to the Pacific Northwest. I'd love to do lots of hiking and kayaking out your way. The farthest north I've made it is Point Reyes & Bodega Bay in CA....I have a friend in Seattle that I've promised to visit over and over...unfortunately we've lost touch. I also have a friend in Bend. So, I have no excuses for not making my way out there.
