We saw some turkeys hanging out with cows. Too bad we didn't have a digital turkey voice recorder with us, cause they gobbled several times

We also saw some new construction in little Lopez Village

We think it would be a good place to be retired, but we are slow and boring

We could spend our days looking for interesting trees

Walking down cool paths

eating at cool-looking restaurants

And seeing cool sunrises

Here is a bed and breakfast in Lopez Village. An attractive building

San Juan County Courthouse in Friday Harbor

Firefighting equipment in Friday Harbor

And the Fire House

A neat Espresso stand on the way home. The dog on the picnic table seemed comfortable

What beautiful pictures, Roni! What a great place to spend an anniversary....

Judging by your turkey pic., you guys weren't the only ones looking for romance this weekend

Thanks Jacko and everyone else.

I have been holding out some though, cause this is a little hard to swallow, but Nessie has relocated from Scotland to Lopez Island. I have photographic proof, but have hesitated cause I don't really want to be known as a crackpot like some of those people who believe in alien abductions, but I have the photo. Here it is

Nessie spotted in Hummel Lake

Teri Linneman Teri Linneman shot this picture of the Loch Ness monster this morning, in Hummel Lake on Lopez Island. "As I came down Center Road this morning, I looked over to see if there were any swans on the lake and there he was," Carolyn Jacobsen of the Lopez Island School District e-mailed. "Quite a sight. There are unconfirmed rumors as to who constructed it. Thought all would enjoy seeing it."

great pictures. Long live Nessie I think the pics of Kathy are beautiful. Its so awsome to see a pic of a woman that shows not only her outer beauty but also her inner beauty.
