Hello- and thanks to all who make this forum possible!!
Hubby and I went to Playa in June of 2006, and at that time we hung out here and learned so much. It was great! But since then, I've avoided even peeking here because my heart aches from missing Playa.
Now, we have a return trip plannned for June, and I'm just estatic!! So, I'm saying "hello" to everyone, but I especially want to thank the people who make this forum possible. It is amazing to me that they are selfless enough to read a gazillion posts asking for the same newbie things, and they always find a way to be patient and helpful. I love Playa.info. Thank you so very much!!!BTW, hubby and I are in New Mexico, but before that in California. He's in the military, so home is where they send us. See you in Playa!! |

I am delighted to read the excitement in your post about returning to Playa!! And that's so nice that you've taken the time and effort to thank the people who are responsible for this wonderful forum. I'm so lucky to have met them, and they truly ARE remarkable people! Have fun in Playa in June! That's a great time of year to go.

Frank, we'll be in June 10th- June 16th. I've noticed there's a meet-up brewing for the 15th. Will you be around at all when we are in town?
Last trip (1st one) we did the AI at EDR. While it was pure heaven, we are hoping for a true Playa-time this time- and we'd LOVE to meet up. It seems that the friendships made in Playa are a big part of the magic, and hubby and I hope to get out and experience it this time. |

Unfortunately, we arrive the following Thursday. We like to arrive and depart mid week whenever possible. The airport is less crowded, it is less time consuming, and flights are cheaper.
Since we are already there, we try to hit the tourist traps on the weekend. Everybody is so busy coming and going the places are sometimes close to empty. During our last trip, for example, we went to Yal Ku on a Saturday morning and we were the only ones in the entire lagoon for about 1.5 hours! Anyways, sorry we'll miss you. Go to the Zabul Beach Club and leave 30 pesos with Moses and tell him it is to buy Frank and Debbie a drink! |
