Great report, loving every minute of it!

Did the beach increase in size again whilst you were there/shrink more/stay the same?

If it stays as it was on your last post till I go, I'll be more than happy. Those pictures of the Tucan make me so sad It truly was an amazing place this time last year.

Smile Thanks for the TR!

We leave for our first trip to PDC on 4/11, staying at the Sandos, and wanted to thank you all for the great pictures and info! You have all been so helpful in giving us newbies some really good tips and tricks and we look forward to using what we've learned. I'll be sure to get our own trip report out once we're back in town (upstate NY).
Thanks again!

Overall how would you rate the Sandos resort, were you extremely pleased with the accommodations, and would you return. We are booked in for the end of April and there are sooooo many conflicting reports out there that sometimes we get a little panicked about our choice.

Missixty: You well know that T too was worried about there being any beach whatsoever at teh Sandos before our trip. Fortunately there was - and half the reson for booking the Sandos is the mile of undeveloped beach to the south. There'd have to be a procession of hurricanes to get rid of all that sand.

The lst day of my TR is coming up in 2 or 3 days - on that day we explored the deserted beach and those pics should put your mind at ease.

Thanks for encoragement - keeps the TR motivation going.

In no way shape or form do I claim to know anything nor does this TR come close to having all the answers to give - just hoping to pass along what I thought was valuable. Thanks to the others on this & other forums for teaching us what to do on this trip!

In any case I'm glad you are liking it and hope you can pass along good, positive advice for those who follow. So much gets left unsaid, I wanted to share what I learned.

Great - thanks! I've enjoyed writing it hopefully as much as you enjoyed reading it each night!

And tell your 8 year old thanks! She's the apple of my eye!

4 stars - we were pleasantly surprised. Room = above average, (air conditioning & funky key card thingie took us rookies a while to figure out). Food & beverages = above average to excellent. Beach = exceptional, especially to the south. Service = exceptional - great people who really try to please you. Resort = immaculate. Sun, sand & waves = can't be beat.

No place is perfect - if you go with the attitude that it's vacation and you don't have to worry about the other 98.5% of your life, then you'll have a great time. We'd go back but I'm feeling more adventurous next time! We'll see if Mamasita is too!

Yes, but it was great to see the kids again. wish we could'a taken them there - for a few days. But then it wouldn't be a honeymoon, would it

Looking forward to next time and reading about all of you guys' adventures will keep the fires burning!
