Please help me plan my honeymoon!
Hello to all! I am getting married in September and will be on a redeye to Playa del Carmen right after the reception for our honeymoon. It is going to be a first time experiece for both husband to be and I seeing as neiter of us has ever had a real vaction. Our time and funds are limited so we want to only schedule one or two activities. I was hoping to get to zipline and snorkel in the a centote as well as visit some of the ruins. So far I think I want to take bus or taxi(opinions?) to Tulum and explore the ruins for a few hours without a guide. We aren't big on informational tours. Is exploring them on our own fesible? We also wanted to book a tour that would include ziplineing and cenotes. An all day thing isn't really our thing so we were hoping for a 4-5hour tour. The Calica Zip Line Jungle Adventure looked interesting as well and the Mayan Zip Line Adventure offered on this site. Im a curious as to how structured the day is. Do you have a choice between zip lineing or rope bridges and such? Or is it a sort of obstical course you just follow? Like I said I am way new at this stuff so any advice is very welcomed! Thanx!

first of all, congrats on your upcoming wedding. i'm getting married in Playa in July!! so, we will be there for our honeymoon.
what hotel are you staying at? a lot of the hotels can get these types of tours set up for you. i would recommend booking the tulum and beyond tour. it's a great tour and you get a mix of a seeing the ruins, snorkeling in two cenotes (jumping off the cliff on one if you want), a fantastic lunch on a gorgeous beach. they take a small group, so it doesn't feel like most tours you go on. very personalized and Mitch does a great job!!! never done the zipline tour, but we were thinking about it. we also want to do the horseback ride/snorkel adventure at Rancho Punta Venada. hope this helps some. congrats once again!! Congrats to you too! We are staying the the Wyndham Azteca. I am kind of an adventure freak so I am really hoping to go do a zip line tour. Swimming with dolphins also looked fun but fairly expensive for just one thing. I really liked the description on Discovery Jungle. The ATV ride in and ropes bridges between zip lines sounded really fun. Thanks for the input! I can't wait to hear your reviews what you get back.
