I guess if they did allow microwaves int the house it could start a classwar. You know people wanting different models of microwaves, but if it were up to the Cuban govt. they only allow on brand of microwave anyways. |

Exactly. I think all of this is going to be the downfall of Cuba. They're going to get lazy like many Americans who have way too many useless appliances, and still complain of never having time to really live Who the hell really cooks in a stupid microwave anyway? Those things are useless. I threw mine out a long time ago. A rice cooker? Please! Rice is cooked way better in a regular pot on the stove. A cell phone? Damn, don't you be touching my cell phone!

First I rarely use anything made of china, I'm a paper plate type of of guy. The only reason why we buy goods made fro china is because of the bottom line, plus it's a way of putting more of the earths population to work. What pitiful dollar if we wanted to we could make our dollar so strong over night no one would by our domestically made products, no one could afford to visit our tourist attractions with the exception of the filthy rich politically connected tourists. |

I wouldn't want to live there, as things stand right now.![]() I am very happy Raul seems to be taking steps in the right direction by giving the people more freedoms and I hope it keeps improving, to the point where they are a democracy with free elections but still maintain the good parts of their system. Stopping the embargo too would be a good start to helping them get on their feet economically as well. ![]() So what is your point exactly- or are you just trying to get people riled up as usual?

I think I may have found the #1 reason the Soviet Union fell. This 'updated' anthem:
Although it may be difficult ,considering Cubans have good musical taste, to talk them into doing this to their anthem.

I'm glad you asked. It is a painting of a flower. Softy and I had a ten year anniversary and we stayed at a condo in old orchard beach in Me over the weekend. Any ways Softy with an eye for art was explaining to me who made the painting. I was telling her how differently it could be interpreted. I with a innocent mind interpreted it how it is a"flower". Others may interpret the painting differently. Last edited by STOGEY; 04-07-2008 at 01:55 PM. |
