New rule in LA.

The selectmen in LA are going to ban murder for 40 hours. Then after the 40 hrs. are up they are going to make it legal.

L.A. City Council rejects 'ban' on homicides

After discussing the proposal, lawmakers vote instead for a resolution to build awareness and dialogue about 'the root causes of violence and killing.'

By David Zahniser, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
April 2, 2008

The Los Angeles City Council dropped plans Tuesday for a symbolic moratorium on killing, deciding instead to use the upcoming anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination to promote peace.

Council members had been asked by a handful of activists to declare a 40-hour ban on murder and other violence, a concept one critic quickly derided as "silliness."

After a 45-minute debate, the council reworked its resolution, saying the city's opposition to homicides should last more than a single weekend.

Son. that's not just gravy. That's good Texas cream gravy.

I know folks who believe a decent chicken fright is the very meaning of life.
