Why do people have political tags on their signatures?
Just curious as to why in a vacation forum, anyone would put thier political view on thier signature tag?
To me personally it is very annoying to see big campaign signs on your posts!!People from all over the world come here & do not want to see that when you post.. Sorry if I am off topic moderators?

It could be for the same reason people put ugly signs on lawns all over the neighborhood. It is an attempt to sway those who are too lazy to educate THEMSELVES on an issue or candidate. The hope is that you will go to the poll's and say "hey, I'm voting for Obama because his name has been on my neighbors lawn for the last 8 months." A sign is certainly not going to sway the opinion of an educated and informed voter.
The unfortunate truth is that name recognition works ... in a big way. Of course, if the sign is ugly enough this tactic can backfire if I have had to look at it next door for the better part of a year. |

I am aware of 2 campaign logos in signatures, possibly 3......... 2 or 3 out of 17,000 members......... gotta have a couple of loonies to keep the rest of us in check I suppose......... kinda like the NFL needs those 4 Chiefs fans
