Airline shuts down.

I have never flown this carrier and I hope for your sake you don't have any friends stranded. There ought to be a law against this crap.

This news bummed me out this am; their cheap, direct flights to Cancun from Midway in Chicago were my flights of choice.

Sorry Heather, I understand the difficulty of getting non-stop service from the upper Midwest to Mexico.

But after having flown ATA once (well actually round trip) all I can say is good riddance

Wow, I am surprised! We flew ATA from Midway in February. I like that airline. The airfare was the cheapest that we found this year. I was surprised, though, our plane was not full.

They were nuthin' fancy, but we got some great RT fares from DC to Midway. Made for a reasonably affordable weekend getaway in the Windy City.

Hi Heather,
Don't know if this works from Cancun to Ohare but we fly USA 3000 they now sell direct on their website, it used to be that you had to book them through a TA when you were buying all inclusive packages. We just booked for Sept and it was $375 roundtrip per person including taxes/fees. It was the cheapest I coud find and we paid about the same last year in November. I will not miss ATA flew it to Hawaii from Chicago, and cheap was exactly what it was. Can't believe we even made it there, most uncomfortable flight of my life. All was good once in Kaui, second favorite place to visit next to Playa of course.

They do have a Coz-ORD option, but the website isn't working it. I think I will call them directly, thanks again for the tip!

I thought ATA was very nice. The seats were nice leather and not falling apart and dirty at all like what we usually fly from Funjet, Ryan airlines, now that is a dump of an airplane. I was impressed with ATA in February. I remembering commenting how nice it was.
