![]() Raj Binder, NOT FUNNY! Sacrilege.![]() Now, I was just wondering whether people thought it is funny or acceptable today for Indian comics (or anyone) to make fun of their own 'people', or any other example...or not? and why. And what if these were white comics making fun of Indians? |

Love her imitation of the Korean nail girls.![]() She is very attractive too. You don\t always see that with female comics. Hot usually doesn't equal funny.![]() She was also talking about how Mexican parents spank their kids a lot.....which reminded me of Russell again, here: |

A lot of the Mexican comedians do that, exploit their characteristics in their advantage.
If you can't make a joke about your own race, Who can? The second guy is overacting and I hate those. Like Jim Carrey, for example, he forces the situations. |

I thought it was funny. I generally have no problem making fun of ourselves or other people, as long as it is fun, not mean. There is a very fine line, I know. One man's fun is another man's mean.

I love the Indian accents.
Especially when talking about the economics and the politics One can drive around the Silicon Forest and see cricket being played on the parking lots and lawns of the high technology companies. |

I just LOVE that guy.
![]() to answer TeeZet - yes, I DO have a thing for Indian men actually. ![]() My high school boyfriend was Indian, he was so cute. I used to wear his jacket in school, and sit there and sniff the collar all day- it smelled heavenly of curries. We'd be in his basement on weekend nights, and when his mom decided I had been there long enough she'd yell down the stairs "San-JAY! You sen girly home now!" sheesh....couldn't she EVER fall asleep early?![]() The premier of my province (that's like a governor I guess) got into hot water last week- an audio tape of him making fun of Ukrainians was released- it was 16 years old or something. It was really minor stuff. The common reaction seemed to be "So? Who cares, when Metro used to be so popular here?" (Metro was a comic who spoke and sang in a Ukrainian accent.) |
