No, really, can someone enlighten me? There was this competion on a UK radio station I was listening too via the Internet but I closed the window by mistake and never heard the answer to that question.

It is sad that small independent book sellers are being pushed out by the mega big box book stores.

Fortunately, for me, I am within a 20 minute drive to book lovers paradise. If ever you find yourself in Portland Oregon a visit to Powell's Books - Powell's Books on Burnside is a MUST.

I rarely buy new books. I borrow a lot of books from the library or buy used books at the nearest Goodwill store but I make a trip to Powells every couple of months and buy books that have too long a wait at the library or that I haven't found at the Goodwill.
