But, the NHL playoffs are a whole different game than the ones played during the regular season. It's definitely the best of the best hockey that can be played.

True, playoffs are exciting. I am disappointed with the lacrosse in that it doesn't get the publicitiy that it should. Those poor guys take a real a$$ kicking out there and make peanuts compared to other professional sports. Sure doesn't seem to have a big fan base either. We had one game a few weeks ago with just over 3000 fans. My team, the Edmonton Rush, is really coming on strong this last half of the season and I was so hoping that would bring out the crowds. Maybe next year!

Seriously, i do! I sold all the ones for the first 2 games as I couldnt attend. I have the same seats for games 3 and 4 at home that I wont be attending either that I will just sell as well.

Ya ya even a broken clock gets lucky and is right twice a day.

I dont know whats up with hockey but home ice doesnt seem to be that big a deal, not like home field is in other sports.

It's been stated many times that the Xcel is one of the hardest rinks to play in while on the road...but the Wild's playoff record sure doesn't indicate it.

What a game though! Not sure about the quick Penalty Shot call, although it was the proper call, they let a lot of other very blatant things go throughout the game, and Backstrom had it covered with his blocker which, had the officials seen it, should have called the play dead. Luckily, Backstrom got rid of all of his shootout bad luck during the reg season

It's just great to see everyone finishing their checks, shooting at every possible chance and not always waiting for that perfect shooting lane, and all of the "lazer-beam" passing tape to tape. The skills these guys possess just blows me away. Can't wait for Friday night!!

They are truly amazing! Personally, I feel they are some of the best conditioned athletes in the world, but yet only "play" for about a minute at a time. I'm always amazed when the tv folks do the player interviews between periods, the players are drenched with sweat, out of breath, spent!
Thankfully the next 3 games are being televised on VS which we get in HD here. I need HD, the way these guys move the puck I need all the help I can get just to follow it!

I can never stand hockey player interviews though. There's only a few guys that can make them interesting, but otherwise it's usually the standard "uh, um, they really came out hard, and, uhhh, we were able to keep up with them and luckily the puck bounce our way and we were able to put it away. We just gotta come out next period and play our game and, uh..." yadda yadda yadda. It always makes me laugh. But I agree, they're definitely in a whole different gear than they were just last week.

We flipped back and forth to Versus last night just to see the other game in HD. Talk about beauty!!!
