Just booked the GSP-35 days to Playadice

I just finish booking the Grand Princess Sunset for the week of May 17 to 25. Last year it was just me and the better half and we stayed at the RPDC and had a great time. This year we are traveling with are two kids 4 and 7 years old, this will be are first family vacation. Kids are really excited about going on a plane for the first time and I'm really glad I get to go back to the Playa area. It was a close call because we travel on a budget and I wasn't sure If I would find a suitable resort in the Playa area that fit our budget. Two days ago I found a great deal to Cuba (Varadero-Sirenis La Salina) it was $600 under budget and very tempting and I almost pulled the trigger. But I didn't, hoping something would fall into place in the Playa area. Well lo and behold Friday night after work I find a great price for the Grand Princess Sunset and with a little help from my Travel agent (my neighbor) I was able to book it for $86 over budget. Would have been nice to save the $686 but its even nicer to know that I'M GOING TO PLAYA - very happy and excited. (I'm hoping to post my first trip report when we get back).

Some Questions. I would like to take my daughter who is 7 years old on a excursion either a do it yourself like taking the local bus to one of the echo parks or something we can book with a tour operator. Any past experience or ideas would be appreciated.

Any tips or suggestions on traveling with childern this will be our first time traveling with little ones.

Also I need to thank SHAMMY for answering all my questions about certain resorts.

I took my 7 yr. old son to swim with the the turtles last year in Akumal bay. He still talks about it and wants to go again when we get down there in 18 days.
