Try the hot churros at the street vendor cart in the evenings at the main square or zocalo.

Watch him make them and ask him for a bag just freshly made....wonderful!
Have a wonderful time!

Don't try Baskin ******* Ice cream, I think it cost me about nine bucks for 2 scoops. I like to have a churro, in the park after dinner most nights

Actran, I think its Ah Cacao Chocolate Café (5th Ave. , Corner of Constituyentes) . Last Year we stayed at RPDC and my wife insisted we go there almost every night after dinner.

The crepe place on, I think, 24th street between 5th and 10th ave. Also, Dalia at Chicago Don Jose makes really good brownies.

Brownies (+ some coconut ice cream) at Ah Cacao

Another must, Coconut ice cream with Kuhlua at Rolandis just south of Carlos and Charlies

Also, Don Caremelo's on 10th Ave, btw 8th & 10th, try the mix of chocolate & coconut ice cream

The high points have been hit.

Brownies at Ah Cacao.

Churros off the vendor at the zocalo, but Jacko's right. They have to be fresh. Even if you have to wait a while until he does a new batch, do it, they're worth it.

I'll second Don Carmelo. We stop there a lot for their excellent homemade ice cream. It is located on 10th, between calle 8 and 10.

Ah Cacao is great. I'm from Montreal and we have a ton of great chocolatiers here yet Ah Cacao really impressed me for the purity of the taste and the richness of the chocolate. I had some last night. We brought a few bars home. The black chocolate is a big cut above the milk one and I was equally surprised with the white chocolate which I usually find too sweet. This one was nice and tasty while more fruity than sweet.
