me too! i was there once about 20 years ago... had a work thing... a fellow trainee was showing me around... I'd met him at a different trainee thing a few months before... I had just met Mike and was going to buy him a souvenir... this guy got all pissy that I was getting something for some guy... I was like, "Uh... this isn't a DATE we're on."

He got weird after that. So all I remember is walking after a pouting guy in Faneuil Hall.

Surely there's more to Boston than that??

I wish I did...I'm saving for us for playa in June of 2009. We'll need about 120,000. I'm a little over half way there. Spent some on the regatta for this June

The two Barbs took me for a tour of historical Boston a few years ago when I was there for a conference and I cooked them some salmon veracruzana and we drank a bunch of wine at Barb #1's house.

Barb #1 is the Director of an Academic Library Consortium that we know from Carbondale - her oldest daughter was our son's best friend and lives out here now.

Barb #2 we know from Missouri

They met out in Boston and figured out later that they both knew us when talking about Zach.

It was a neat walking tour guided by locals - I remember some chowder and beer at the oyster house where Kerry celebrates his victories.

Wow. I'm tired just reading about that trip Boston is a great city- surprisingly small and really fun. I'm not just biased because my family is from there, really

We'll miss you by a day. That is if we stick around for Marathon Monday- drinking all morning, cheering the runners in, what's not to love

Hey Tonya! Yup- this weekend will be practice for our upcoming trip to Mexico- we're a totally lame old married couple, so staying up late, hanging out with our single friends will be a challenge on our livers....

Whew! This multiquote thing is cool, but tiring I hope everyone else has a great weekend planned

Cool.
Isn't that neat when people meet and realize that they have youse folks in common?
That has happened a couple of times to me.
I went to a place called 'Anthony's' or something in Boston proper. I was supposed to be the best place in the world to eat (according to my inlaws at the time)
