Not entirely, no. This nickname you stuck on me has caught on. I know of a few Peeps who call me 'Nessie', now.
I'm just glad the later part of the nickname has died off. It'd be quite the mouthful. And I'm still confused as to where it came from.

Been nicknamed spike all of my life. Started when my folks and some friends were out fishing and there was a crew working on the railroad near the lake. I was over checking them out and my folks told me not to bother them. One of the crew said "He is no bother, heck he is no bigger than a railroad spike". I am 57 and people in the town I grew up in still call me spike.
