It's not about disagreeing- I really do detest country music - especially when they remake NON country/western songs, you know?

I love all types of music.



I generally don't like covers of songs, but I just thought that this one was done very beautifully.

Some of it doesn't even sound country and they call it country.

In this case, I think I do like the original better... but I like pretty much something in all genres of music. But not everything in each genre.

I know it is narrow minded of me, but yes I hate country. When I was going to university I used to hang around Agriculture students a lot. The Agros at the U of S here are like the Aggies there I guess? I overdosed on country music and line dancing.


Like I hear this song, all I can think of is beery smelling cowboys swinging me around the dance floor circa 1993.

No, no Maggie the great songwriter Bruce Springsteen wrote and performed that song prior to the pseudo-country act Nitty Gritty Dirt Band had anything to do with it.

Just FYI. There are some good covers although I generally prefer the originals.
