Boy does it feel like a monday!

Started out ok until Josh called to come home sick. He's not sick just tired from working last night. I had Akela following me down the stairs and I slipped on a shirt that was waiting to be put away. I fell down the last four steps and landed on my butt! She was all over me licking me and making sure I was ok! My back hurts a little and my neck. Nothing is broken and Akela is keeping a close eye on me!
Hope everyone else's monday is going better!
Heres hoping tuesday will be better!

Oh and I have 40 day's to get everything ready for Graduation! I feel panic creeping in slowly!

You're not kidding! It is blizzard-ing here...12F, -8F with the windchill - my front door is drifted in about 5 feet high and this morning, when I was cleaning off my car in the driveway, I locked my keys, purse, cell phone, etc in the running vehicle. I couldn't get back in the house, didn't have my cell phone and I had to walk to the elementary school a few blocks away and call my husband to come home from work to bail me out! Then they made me wait outside because they didn't have enough teacher/supervisors so they made all the kids wait outside until the bell rang... can some didn't even have mitts or a coat! I was glad to get to work finally!

Sounds like you need a warm lunch, a warm bath and a warm nap so that you feel better!

I had a fall like that a few years ago. Thought everything was okay but it wasn't. If you're still hurting (worse) tomorrow, try and get to the doctor.

It's Monday alright. Sick in bed with an awful virus. Everyone gone to school and work. I feel lousy and sorry for myself. Happy Monday to me

P.S. I'm so glad my laptop does not mind sharing a bed with me.

Ouch...my taillbone aches just reading about your fall. Good thing nothing was broken!

I also ache from head to toe today. Played in an indoor whiffle ball tournament all weekend, which means lots of drinking, late nights, and lots of moving in ways I am not used to moving. Yesterday I could hardly walk- and I thought I was in fairly good shape!

Jan- so you guys did get hit by that blizzard- we escaped, luckily, just had a bit of a blizzard Friday night and a little bit of snow Saturday, but then lots of rain yesterday. It's not that bad today, but it will be cool all week, barely above freezing for highs, yuck.

Get this- we walked home both nights from the rink (due to too much beer) in the cold and blowing snow....it's about 6 blocks, yay....Saturday we are walking home, it's close to 4 AM, we get home- and neither of us had a key to get in the house- AND the one hidden was missing! We had to walk BACK to the rink, get the garage door opener out of my car and then walk home again. By that time we were both stone cold sober at least....and just stone cold.

Wow- I hope everyone's Monday has improved by now

It is beautiful today- after a beautiful weekend I'm sitting on my deck drinking a rum and coke, basking in the sun Today is a holiday in MA, so it has been a really low key day. (I also had a couple of beers earlier today while watching the early Sox game Its been a good day, here)

Have a great rest of the day, everyone

Hopefully your soreness will go away soon! What a drag forgetting your key's. Cold air will sober ya up real quick!

Took a warm bath and feel a little better! Worked on some jewelry that needs to be done by tomorrow! And took a muscle relaxer!

here we go again...

Michael had a seizure (god, how often do I start a sentence with those words?) and was sleeping for quite some time... when he finally got up and was walking, he was holding his arm weird... his elbow is totally swollen and his shoulder looks odd (that could be because of the way that he's holding his arm, though)... so he and Mike are on their way to the emergency place to see what's up... I'll be surprised if his elbow isn't broken...

I'm just not believing... for all the meds he's on and how often he goes to the doctors, you'd think we'd be farther along on seizure control... and now that he's 5'9" when he falls it's a long way down...

my poor boy

I am so sorry your son, you and your family are going through all that. We take so much for granted... I really hope he'll be ok.
