Well this is an easy one: as my papers show, I worked very hard indeed to get NAFTA passed, originally, and then spoke positively of it at various junctures to various constituencies who had high hopes for it. However, later when I was in front of different constituencies that had turned sour on the whole thing, well of course then I declared that I had never supported it in the first place, despite all those records showing that I had.

...

...

You know, a lot like my approach to Iraq.

...

...

Oh, wait a minute...

...

...

Are those my views and what I experienced? or am I retelling prominent aspects of others' backgrounds as if they were my own experience?

Perhaps I misspoke...

I also agree with you, Jamey.

Well, they sure aren't going to go down in price in the future either ....that's typically what would happen when a non-renewable resource starts to get more and more scarce.

Not to mention Crown Royal (so ironic that is what Hillary did a shot of in that bar).

Second guessing is easy.
Especially if you weren't part of the decision making process in the first place.

Letting the way the public wind is blowing at any given moment determine your policies is also pretty easy.

As far as I know...

Of course there are going to be some people who slip through the cracks, and they do need to crack down on them a lot harder. But there are lots of people, the vast majority of immigrants, who come here for a better life, work hard and are great citizens.
I agree that we need workers and that the vast majority of immigrants are here to work hard, and try for a better life, and I don't have a problem with that. I do have a problem with people like Singh and the ones who break our laws and then cry "unfair treatment" when they are about to be deported. We have a couple of cases in Vancouver where young immigrants have been street racing, lost control of their vehicles and killed or seriously injured innocent people and then claim that they will be persecuted if they are sent to their own country. I am not a bigot but I don't have time for time for that.

I say, bring on the immigrants and refugees that are looking for a new life and are willing to contribute to our society.

Sorry, ranting, I'll stop now.
