We are doing a big green expo in NYC this weekend with our milk paint (and one in Chicago next month).
Earth Day (or Earth Week) has been a good opportunity for us to have lots of new people try our paint, which we donated to a couple of events. Today a 'green' mural is being painted in LA on the corner of Wilshire Blvd. by a bunch of little kids, as part of their Earth Day celebration.
And last weekend in Central Park a big 500 foot mural was painted by 1000 people, on 6" x 6" pieces of canvas that are being stitched together by Paul Kostabi, a pretty well known contemporary artist. And we are especially excited that there is a documentary being filmed about the project, and the mural may be on exhibit for a time this summer at the Guggenheim Museum! Here's a link about that if anyone is interested.
Great stuff! I am going to a local Green expo here this weekend too!

Same bloody thing here! I look up addresses and phone numbers online, so a telephone directory is useless to me. I have called and tried everything to stop them. Next time I see the person dropping it off (saw them once and didn't think about it until afterwards), I'm handing it back and going to act so psycho they might listen then

Buy re-usable water bottles and drink tap water.

Go with a water filter on your tap and a stainless steal bottle.. it's easy and healthy!

I now have a Britta water filter and pitcher. I just refill bottles when I need them and store them in the fridge. Saves me alot of money too!!!

They sure do, we invested in a water filter that attaches to the tap, get's more stuff out then a brita and saves the fridge space, I highly recommend it!! We got ours at whole foods.

The three of us spent the day picking up trash along the creek that runs through the middle of Colorado Springs. Great way to spend Earth Day as a family.

You did what? You guys get the best water in the state out of the pristine Quabbin in Western MA. When I lived out there, we couldn't even drink that water- they sent it all to Boston. No need for Brita- no need for bottled water- just drink it from the stupid tap, you lucky b-turd

(j/k, of course drewl...)

Right.. of course.. usually I only drink the recycled bath water, it has more flavor.. but I'll take your advice and gove the tap water a chance.! Of course, YOU are surounded by water... yet not a drop to drink?

Happy earth day to everyone!

I'm sorry to say that I wasn't very earth-friendly today as I made a day trip (flying) to Boston.

However, about 2/3 of the staff at our engineering firm is LEED-certified, so a lot of the work we do is earth-conscious...
